The big news lately is that City of Marine Mayor Kevin Nyenhuis, and School Board Chair Win Miller signed the long-term lease for the school building! A five-year term, plus an option to renew for five years, means this is our long-term home.
Now, with the lease signed, we can start repairing and painting cabinetry in the classrooms so the rooms are ready for teachers to start decorating in August. Board Director Dave Dochniak, who is a teacher by day and professional painter in the off hours, will lead the charge on painting. Thanks Dave!
Midco has been selected as our network connection company. In June they will connect a fiber optic cable to the school, which will provide great bandwidth for all children and teachers.
