Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team to drive our school bus morning and afternoons, beginning in August with the new school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children to various destinations while maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
Duties
- Safely operate a bus or van, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by conducting pre-trip inspections and maintaining the vehicle in good working condition.
- Manage behavior on the bus, ensuring a respectful and safe atmosphere for all passengers.
- Educate passengers about safety protocols and procedures during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that may occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise.
Experience
- Previous experience as a bus driver is preferred.
- Experience working with children or in senior care settings is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for performing basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively in a group setting is essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person

License/Certification (Required): Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a school bus endorsement
