In the late winter of 2024, my husband, our three daughters, and I toured MVS while considering a move to the St. Croix Valley. We were seeking a meaningful change, and MVS immediately stood out to us. Its small size, dedication to a love of learning, emphasis on ecology, and commitment to developing thoughtful citizens deeply resonated with our family. Within minutes of stepping into the school, we knew it was the right place for us.

MVS is a special place—one that holds great promise and potential. As a relatively new school entering a period of transition, it faces both opportunities and challenges. I am seeking to join the board because I care deeply about the future of this school and want to help guide it toward its next phase of growth and stability.

Our family has since moved within walking distance of MVS, and we are here to stay. My oldest daughter is in 3rd grade, and my youngest is three years old. We’re fully invested in the school and its mission.

Professionally, I work as a physician in the St. Croix Valley. I completed my residency at North Memorial and, prior to medical school, worked as an ER nurse at Hennepin County Medical Center. These roles have given me extensive experience listening to and working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. I bring a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and a well-developed sense of collaboration and teamwork.

Outside of medicine, I love spending time with my family, exploring and caring for the natural world, connecting with friends, making music and art, and giving back to my community. I would be honored to support MVS as a board member and to contribute to its bright future.
