Abby Brown

Abby Brown returns to the Marine community, once again, as an educator. Previously she was a staff member of 29 years at Marine Elementary School. Her primary role at that time was as 5/6 teacher. She co-directed the 6th grade musical for 19 years, as well as assisted her 6th graders to mentor kindergarten students. Her “Stand Up for Learning” initiative created optional seating for students unavailable prior. Families can expect that her students will have many movement options in her classroom.

Since that time, Abby has worked in a variety of schools, including two years at Stillwater Middle School as the 6/7 health teacher.  Most recently she was along-side K-3 teachers at Scandia Elementary.  There she observed, taught with, and filled-in as lead teacher for these classroom professionals.  It was valuable experience; one that prepared her for her new position at the Marine Village School.   She is excited to reconnect and meet new families and children enrolled in this wonderful new charter.

Abby lives on the outskirts of Marine with her husband, two sons, and black lab.  She enjoys baking, gardening, thrift store shopping, reading, and being physically active.
